Supporting Stella’s Place – Empowering Youth Mental Health

I am thrilled to share a heartwarming story about my son, Rory, and his recent involvement in the "Project Give Back" awards ceremony and fundraiser. Rory was one of fourteen out of over sixteen hundred children chosen to present his project. At just ten years old, Rory decided to support Stella’s Place, a mental health youth hub in downtown Toronto.

Rory, who lives with Tourette’s Syndrome, has bravely shared his journey with neurodiversity and mental health. Coming from a family that has faced mental health and addiction challenges, Rory’s advocacy and courage are truly inspiring. This morning, he received a personal handwritten note from Nzinga Walker, the Executive Director at Stella’s Place, calling him a superhero. And he really is.

Stella’s Place provides critical mental health support to young people aged 16 to 29, offering services such as peer support, clinical services, and wellness programs. Their work is vital in empowering youth to take charge of their mental health and build brighter futures.

We invite you to join us in supporting Stella’s Place. Your donation can make a significant impact on the lives of many young people who rely on these essential services. Together, we can help Stella’s Place continue to provide the care and support that our youth need.
